There is more to Margaret River than just us.

Margaret River offers many world class destinations and experiences.

surfWhether you're in need of some much needed relaxation or excitement and adventure is what you crave, a short break holiday with Margaret River Guest House offers an excellent base from which to explore them. We will provide you with maps and helpful assistance to ensure you get the most out of your stay in this wonderful part of Western Australia.

vinesMargaret River is an excellent base from which to explore the Cape to Cape region which includes the Margaret River Wine Region, Augusta, Busselton and Yallingup. We recommend at least 3 nights to experience all that this region has to offer, both man made and natural.

With Margaret River's main street a mere 2 minute stroll away from our Guest House you will find all you need including a tavern, english style pubs, world class tourist bureau, supermarkets and a host of speciality shops. We also boast several superb restaurants and cafes. Whatever you fancy for dinner, Margaret River can cater for you. As well as art galleries, weekend markets, three service stations, newsagency and library.

cape leeuwinTo the south of our town is Augusta where Cape Leeuwin Lighthouse looks down to where 2 great oceans meet. The Indian and Great Southern oceans combine at the most southern tip of Western Australia. This area is also the perfect place to watch both the Humpbacks and Southern right whales migrate and can be sighted around the coast between June and early December.

On the way why not drop into the many wineries large and small, visit one of the many caves, view local artists with many talents from glass blowing to jewellery making. Or why not stop along beautiful rugged and calm beaches where you can sometimes see the tame stingrays.

To the North lies the township of Busselton with its famous Busselton jetty, only a little stroll of 1.8km will see you to the end. The town of Cowaramup is home to many small businesses that catch the eyes of wandering tourists. With its many cheese and yoghurt producers, to the famous chocolate factory, coffee roaster, olive oil farms and breweries. If after all that food tasting you are in need of some exercise you can wander through the bird parks, aboriginal cultural centre and the many galleries dotted around the region.

sunsetAll sounds too hard?

Well then maybe just a lazy afternoon by the fire or on the verandah with a good book sounds more like your thing. Then we have you covered. There is nothing hard about sitting with a good book, your favourite wine and some local cheese while watching the birds feed amongst our beautiful garden, or just relaxing with good company and watching the flames flicker with the sounds of your favourite music playing in the background.

Sounds good doesn't it? Why not pick up the phone and organise a short break now. We look forward to sharing our piece of heaven with you at Margaret River Guest House
